How can i make my gold necklace shine?

I have a gold necklace that my mom bought YEARS ago. I want to wear it to graduation tomorrow, but it is so dull. What products can i use to make it SHINE by tomorrow???

I dont want to buy something from the store!

    For hour then rinse there have it in hot water mixed with little detergent or lemon for hour then rinse there have it all shiny.

    An old tooth brush though good luck and scrub it and congrats on it try soft tooth brush so but some palmolive soap on your graduation.

    I use toothepaste, but I hear a paste made with baking soda and water works too! Rub it on, then polish it off with a soft cloth. Works every time!

    -use baking soda mixed with water, and scrub it with a toothbrush
    -soak it in water with lots of lemon juice
    -soak it in water and soap or detergent
    -soak it in water and baking soda
    -use a toothbrush and put alcohol or peroxide to brush it.
